I am a Physiotherapist from Dartmouth, NS. I graduated from the Master of Science in Physiotherapy program at Dalhousie University in 2008. I am also a proud Xaverian, graduating with a BA Honours in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier in 2006.
I have been working in private practice in Nova Scotia since graduating from Dalhousie, and have loved meeting and helping many people with many different concerns over the years. I have a long history of treating runners - both for injuries and general running assessments/race planning, and I thrive on helping runners achieve their goals. I am also passionate about helping women navigate their pregnancy and postpartum fitness journeys, and love collaborating with colleagues to make sure each person receives the best care available.
I enjoy the learning opportunities that continue to present themselves, and I have taken continuing education courses in pregnancy and postpartum running and fitness, diastasis recti management, exercise prescription, sports injuries and rehabilitation, running injury treatment and prevention, RockTape, acupuncture, dry needling, gait analysis, and more.
I am a proud member of the RockTape instructor family, and teach courses for movement professionals across the country. I love using the assessment and treatment philosophies with my clients, and teaching them how to use the same tools themselves at home.
Post-graduate courses I have completed include:
Integrated Dry Needling Certification (SMART Seminars)
Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy – Level 2 Upper and Lower Quadrant
